When you arrive in Spain, Tarifa your mind switches immediately to the Spanish rhythm. Your day will start with an amazing breakfast in the Spanish sun. Ready to charge your batteries and soul for a full-day of adventure and sports? Of course will also discover the beautiful region. There is even a possibility to visit Morocco (only 1h travelling by ferry). In the evening we will enjoy the great food from the amazing restaurants in the picturesque, lively Tarifa with local food and fish specialities such as Tuna.
Perfect for outdoor activities
Surfing: Tarifa also has some excellent surfing spots, and you can take surf lessons or rent a board from one of the surf schools located on the beach.
Hiking: If you want to take a break from the water sports, you can explore the beautiful countryside surrounding Tarifa. The town is located in the Natural Park of the Strait, where you can enjoy some fantastic hiking trails and enjoy stunning views of the ocean.
Horse Riding: Horse riding is a popular activity in Tarifa, and you can take a guided tour of the beautiful countryside on horseback.
Whale and Dolphin Watching: Tarifa is also known for its incredible marine life. You can take a boat tour and spot whales and dolphins in their natural habitat.
5. Rock Climbing: Tarifa has some fantastic rock climbing spots that offer stunning views of the ocean. You can take a guided tour or rent equipment from one of the many climbing centers located in the town.
6. Mountain Biking: If you love cycling, you can rent a mountain bike and explore the countryside surrounding Tarifa. The area has many trails and dirt roads that are perfect for mountain biking.
7. Paragliding: If you are feeling adventurous, you can try paragliding. Tarifa has some excellent paragliding spots that offer breathtaking views of the ocean and the countryside.
8. Scuba Diving: If you want to explore the marine life of Tarifa, you can try scuba diving. The town has some excellent diving spots, and you can take lessons or rent equipment from one of the many diving centers located in the town.
Cosy village & good food.
Tarifa is situated close to the Strait of Gibraltar and offers breathtaking views of Africa. The town is surrounded by natural parks and has a rich culinary scene with a mix of Spanish and Moroccan influences.
In the town center most bars and restaurants are located, offering a diverse range of cuisines including Spanish, Moroccan, Italian, and international options. There are also many seafood restaurants that serve fresh, local catches, and some bars offer live music and dancing.
Shopping in Tarifa is a unique experience, with many small, independent shops selling locally made products and handmade crafts. There are also many surf and beachwear shops, as well as souvenir shops selling traditional Andalusian products. The town has a bustling street market where you can find everything from fresh produce to clothing, jewelry, and handmade items.
Vibrant nightlife.
Tarifa is known for its vibrant nightlife, especially during the summer months. The town is filled with bars, clubs, and restaurants that cater to a diverse range of visitors, offering something for everyone.
The town center is where most of the nightlife takes place, with many bars and clubs staying open until the early hours of the morning. There are also many beach bars and restaurants that offer a more relaxed atmosphere, with live music and DJs playing until late.
For those looking for a more traditional Spanish experience, Tarifa has many tapas bars where you can sample local specialties and enjoy a drink with friends. There are also many bars that offer live music, from Spanish flamenco to international DJs.
Modern stay.
We stay at a small luxury townhouse, with multiple terraces, small garden (perfect to dry our wet surf gear) and shared swimming pool 💦. There are 4 bedrooms and two bathrooms. It’s 2 minutes walking to the closest beach 🏝, 10 minutes to the city center and 2 minutes to the supermarket. However, it’s 10 min driving to Valdevaqueros, the place where all the kitesurf schools are. We have two underground parkings to park our cars.
